What is Bot Farm?

A managed collection of fake accounts and servers used to sell artificial plays, likes, and followers in bulk.

Bot Farm explained

A bot farm is the infrastructure behind cheap engagement services. It combines bulk-registered accounts, automation scripts, and rented server capacity or residential proxies that disguise where the traffic comes from. One farm can serve hundreds of resellers at the same time, which is why very different looking websites often deliver identical patterns of engagement. For an artist the practical problem is shared reputation: when a platform identifies a farm, it can act on every account that received engagement from it, even if the artist never knew which supplier sat behind the storefront they bought from.

Why Bot Farm matters for independent artists

Understanding Bot Farm helps you make better promotion decisions on SoundCloud and other streaming platforms. On Reposter Network, artists apply concepts like this every day when they trade real plays, likes and reposts with other musicians instead of buying fake engagement.
