Quality score is the general name for the hidden rating a recommendation system keeps on a creator. It is never published and probably not a single number, but its effects are visible: two accounts with identical follower counts can get very different reach on the same kind of upload. The inputs are consistent behaviour over time, engagement that survives fraud filtering, retention on previous uploads, and the absence of enforcement history. It recovers slowly, which is why a period of artificial engagement can depress reach long after the fake numbers have been stripped away.
